I really like this drink holder but my biggest gripe is that it takes 2 shims to bolt on traditional 7/8" or 22.2mm handlebars and possibly needs a third shim ( 3rd shim not included ). Thus the Water Bottle / Mug Holder is Kinda too big for use in the vintage or new cruiser bicycle handlebar world as shipped. The Holder is better suited for Over Sized handle bars on New Road and Mountain Bikes and Possible Frame Clamping. The Clamp is Suppose to work with 7/8" or 22.2mm Bars ( I question this size ) and clamps up to to 1 1/4" or 34mm bars. The Holder's inside drink diameter is about 2 13/16" or 71mm when nothing is inserted and stretches to about 3 9/16" or 90mm. It is the Optimum Holding size for Bike Specific Water Bottles, Store bought Liter Water Bottles, and Travel Mugs with about a 3" or 76mm Diameter. The Clamp has a quick release screw and stretches wide so you can install anywhere with out removing grips or cables. Shim Correctly and tighten tightly for optimum performance. The Nice ABS water Bottle Holder that should suit you well, the holder is not wreck proof if you drink and wreck your bike. Open Face Holders Bottles and Mugs can have Jump if you Hit Big Bump, Nothing is Bomb Proof and this in Not serious for off road use.
